Sight for Kids benefits 1250 students of day 3

Jamshedpur, Nov. 5: On the third day of the ongoing Sight For Kids programme, Lions Club of Jamshedpur Centenary conducted eye screening camps at three government schools and screened 1250 students belonging to various age groups. 

About 600 students were screened at Jharkhand Armed Forces School in Sidhgora and five were found suitable for using spectacles, which will be provided to them, soon free of cost. Nine were diagnosed with vitamin A deficiency and one with cataract. At Sidhgora Madhya Vidyalaya, 150 students were screened and six of them were found to have spectacle requirements. One student found with cataract, while four suffered from vitamin deficiency.

At Peoples Academy School in Baradwari, 500 students were screened, eight needed spectacles, 16 were found to be deficient in vitamin, while six students were diagnosed with ailments that needed further treatment 

President of Lions Club of Jamshedpur Centenary, Vivek Choudhary, first vice president Vikram Singh, secretary, Sumit Moonka, Vinod Vidhyarthi, past president Prakash Singh, Abhay Sharma, and Rita Sharma actively took part in the programme. Rajnish Kumar, first vice-district governor visited one of the schools during the screening camp.
