Seraikela, March 4: The court of Principal District and Sessions Judge Vijay Kumar sentenced a Rajnagar native to rigorous life imprisonment for killing his neighbour. It also imposed a fine of Rs 5000 on him, failing to pay which he would have to serve an additional sentence of six months.
The convict, Budhram Haiburu, had allegedly killed his neighbor Kundiya Charan Haiburu on 27th December 2014 in Chhotagidhi village of Rajnagar in Seraikela-Kharsawan. Haiburu reportedly assaulted Kundiya with a rod after the latter hit him with a cane for answering nature’s call in front of his house. Kundiya fell unconscious after the assault and died on his way to hospital.
