Saraikela, August 13: In view of the upcoming Independence Day celebration the administration on Thursday convened a meeting with the officials at the Assembly hall regarding the preparations.
The meeting was presided over by ADC Iqbal Alam Ansari.
D.D.Chatterjee of Red Cross Society, officials from all departments, police personnel and few teachers were present in the meeting.
The meeting reviewed the instructions of the DC and officials were assigned responsibilities. The meeting discussed all functions to be covered at the event like hoisting of the National flag, I-day parade, peace keeping and many more. A fancy sports competition is also to be organized.
Several schools will be participating in the event.
The flag hoisting programme at different venues are as follows-Deputy Commissioner�s residence at 8am, SP�s residence at 8:45am, Birsa Munda Stadium at 9am, Chau dance Kala Kendra at 9:45am, Samharanalay at 10am, Sanjay Police Line at 10:25am, Block office at 10:50am and the police headquarters at 11am respectively.
