Seraikela, March 20: Seraikela-Kharsawan district administration here on Monday reviewed preparations for the upcoming Ramnavami processions. Seraikela Block Development Officer (BDO) Mrityunjay Kumar convened a peace committee meeting at Seraikela Police Station. He said the meeting was called to ensure peace during Ramnavami, Sarhul and Ramazan.

Zila Parishad chairperson Sonaram Bodra was also present on this occasion. He appealed to one and all to celebrate the festivals with brotherhood and harmony. He said the government guidelines should be strictly followed during the festivals. The BDO said the Ramnavami Akharas were directed to follow all rules and regulations. He said there was no Covid-related restricts during the procession this year. He said provocative and objectionable songs should not be played by any committee or else strict action would be taken against those responsible for the same. There are four licenced and nine non-licenced Ramnavami Akharas in the district, sources said.
