SDSM students show their flair at English elocution contest

Jamshedpur, July 12: An English Elocution Contest was held at S.D.S.M. School for Excellence for the students of UKG to Std. V.

The objective of this contest was to enhance and develop oratory skills of the students. This contest was categorized into three groups. The group-A comprised of UKG – Std. I, group-B comprised of Std.II – Std.III while group-C comprised of Std.IV – Std.V.

The students presented poems on various themes as nature, rain, friendship, voyage, affection and ambition. The students were judged on their pronunciation.

In Group A- Ritika Kumari of UKG bagged the first prize while Aditya Kumar of 1 B clinched the second spot. In Group B – Pragati Kumari of class 3 B was first, Raman Bhardwaj was second.

In Group C- Ritrisha Mishra of class 4 C was first while Esha Kumari of class 4 A was second. The judges of this contest were Mrs. Meera Pal, the Co-ordinator of Pre-Primary Section and Anjani Kumar the Sr. English teacher.

The Principal of the school Mrs. Shyamali Virdi, the Vice-Principal Mrs. Ragini Singh and all the teachers were present on this occasion.
