Jamshedpur, Aug 7: SDSM School for Excellence students displayed excellent performance in Jharkhand School Innovation Challenge 2022 organized by Naresh Vashisht Centre for Tinkering and Innovation (NVCTI), IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.
SDSM students comprising Harsh Ranjan, Yuvraj and Sameer Kumar were declared the runner-up.
SDSM team developed an armed semi automated sniper gun based on Artificial intelligence which will shoot only the enemies as our own soldiers will be provided with specially designed Vest and Helmet. This in turn boosts the IQ ability thereby developing a strong foundation that is essential in one’s career.
SDSM students displayed an exemplary scientific temperament and won the prize of Rs 30000/- and trophy for their innovative idea.
Among 40000+ schools, 73 schools were selected with 50 innovative ideas. Top 5 innovative ideas were selected after 5 rigorous screening phases.

The 5 day module at Dhanbad gave exposure to students for exploring and getting new knowledge from the other teams.
The platform also honoured science coordinator teacher Mona with a certificate and a trophy for School. This journey of innovation, presentation and recognition was lead by the school Principal Moushumi Das who leaves no stone unturned to encourage the budding scientists and their innovation. The most important factor behind all success is the keen interest and support from the School Chairman Diwakar Singh.
It is worth mentioning that the first prize was won by DBMS English School students while Kumar Divyansh of DAV Public School TTPS Lalpania (Bokaro) bagged the second runner up prize.
