Saryu Roy reviews Sri Balajee Annapurna midday meal scheme

Jamshedpur, Feb 27: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy reviewed the Sri Balajee Annapurna midday meal scheme on Sunday. He gave suggestions regarding ways to run the scheme in a better way. He said the scheme was meant to provide affordable and tasty food to the people, especially the under-privileged.

The main trustee of Swarnarekha Kshetra Vikas Trust, Ashok Goel, and Sudhir Singh, convenor of the mid-day meal scheme, were also present at the meeting. It was decided to run the scheme under the Trust.

Singh said a total of 743 people were served lunch at the Annapurna midday meal centre. From Monday to Saturday, 100-125 people would be given lunch, he said.
