Saryu Roy to observe fast against corruption on Jan 30

Jamshedpur : Senior BJP leader and former legislator Saryu Roy will observe fast on January 30 in protest against rising corruption and miss rule in the State.

While addressing the media the leader said that the corrupt leaders must not be voted to powers. �In order to motivate people I have decided to observe the fast that will be organised on the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi,� he noted.

He added that the wrong policies of the State and Union government is resulting in large-scale migration, poverty and unemployment were a root cause of problem in the country.

Disparity within the society owing to the pro-rich policies of the government coupled with increasing unemployment and poverty led Naxalism to crop up in the country.

He noted that the problem would be solved by bringing in political and electoral reforms and all round development. He also castigated the prevailing political scenario in the country and said there was no difference between the ruling and other opposition parties.

Addressing the media, the former BJP legislator said that the society is going through an extremely bad situation as the corruption level has become awesomely high.

Speaking on the price rise, Roy said that there was time when the people in Bihar used to protest the hike of petrol even by five paisa, but today the prices of petroleum product including LPG cylinder is rising every month, but there is no protest from the people.
