Noamundi, April 7: Government officials held meeting with Manki Munda�s of 56 villages under 5 Panchayats to celebrate first Saranda Festival in grand style in the upcoming month.
SDO Rabi Shukla presided over the meeting. Addressing the public Shukla said, �We are expecting a large number of foreign tourists to participate in the Saranda festival.
We are also planning to invite Cricket icon and Team India Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni at the festival.
The villagers will showcase their arts of making forest fruit pickles, handicrafts and Adivasi dance during the festival.
Sports events will also be organised and we will invite sports team from Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhatishgarh and West Bengal�.
Present during the meet were district planning officer John Benjamin Tirkey, forest officer Vijay Shankar Dubey, Zila Parishad member Bamiya Majhi, Moharpur BDO Devendra kumar and others.
