Sakchi road mishap victim�s kin get Rs 40K as compensation

Jamshedpur, Jan. 15: The family of the deceased Chandravati Devi and injured Mainavati Devi were provided compensation by the joint efforts of Golmuri police station in-charge Sriniwas and Jamshedpur Lok SabhaYuva Congress committee Vice-president Rakesh Sahu within 24 hours of the road mishap.

70 year old Chandravati Devi, a resident of Kasidih under Sakchi PS, died in a road mishap near Howrah Bridge, Sakchi, on Kalimati Road, here on Saturday.

Another woman, one Mainavati Devi, was seriously injured in the mishap. She is undergoing treatment at MGM Hospital.A speeding Tata Sumo knocked them down as the two tried to cross the main road.

Tata Sumo vehicle owner Krishna Murari Gupta gave Rs 40 thousand to the kin of deceased Chandravati Devi, in Golmuri Police Station on Sunday while the family of injured Mainavati Devi received Rs 10 thousand.

Compensation agreement was held at Golmuri Police Station in presence of Golmuri police station in-charge,Sriniwas, Jamshedpur Lok Sabha Yuva Congress committee, Vice-president, Rakesh Sahu, four-wheeler owner Krishna Murari Gupta, Kamal, Dashrath, Kola and kin of the deceased and injured.
