Chaibasa, June 25: A state level workshop on ‘Role of Mid Wife’ was organized by Somi at Rabindra Bhavan in Chaibasa on Sunday.
Kalpna Joshi a lecturer at the government college of nursing Kawardha, Chhatishgarh was chief guest and special guest was Pushpalata Deshmukh from Delhi.
Addressing the mid wife and ANM of Sadar hospital, Chaibasa, Kalpna Joshi explained elaborately the role of mid wife from the Antenatal care to delivery of a child and looking after the health and care, dieting and different type of exercises during the pregnancy, occurrence of emotion and feeling in the beginning and during the last phase of birth of child and safety measures.
The certificates were also distributed among the mid wives. ANM Sheela Pingua of Sadar hospital said that the workshop was very useful and informative to the participants and Midday wives must focus on the points which were explained to them for helping in birth to a healthy baby. A large number of ANM and mid wives attended the workshop.
