Jamshedpur, Sept 20: The government’s initiative to spread the message of cleanliness and hygiene among the masses through Swachhta Pakhwada was evidenced during a special assembly conducted at RVS Academy on Tuesday to highlight the benefits of cleanliness in homes and surrounding areas and at the same time maintenance of personal hygiene.
RVS Academy students took a pledge to practice and propagate the tenets of creating a clean environment at home and the neighborhood and also take adequate measures against coronavirus infection.
The school’s Managing Committee Chairman, Binda Singh and Principal Veesha Mohindra stressed on the need of ensuring allround cleanliness to lead safe and healthy lives.
Various activities were organized to highlight the importance of self-care and hygiene.
The school students took a Swachhta Shapath (Cleanliness Pledge) during the special assembly. Speeches by students reiterated the importance of cleanliness in all spheres. A parent-teacher meeting was conducted to infuse the need for a cleaner world by developing the sphere of cleanliness. A painting competition-cum-exhibition depicting the need for cleanliness. Students, through their paintings expressed their views on the need for a clean environment.
The students were also urged to conserve water by avoiding wastage as resources were shrinking and saving water was essential.
