Jamshedpur, Dec. 22: Rotarians of Jamshedpur have proved their mettle by performing excellently in the year 2020-21. Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West won 29 awards and has been declared the best club in Bihar and Jharkhand under Rotary dist 3250 in the category of clubs having more than 40 members.
In recognition of good work towards society, Rotary West got highest number of awards/citation amongst 110 Rotary clubs from Bihar and Jharkhand.
For 2020-21, Club President Rotarian Anjani Nidhi has been chosen as the Best President in the same category and Rotarian Alpana Shukla has been chosen as the Best Club Secretary.
Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West is continuing to work for the society under the leadership of President Rotarian Anjani Nidhi for the year 2020-21, for which he was given the title of Best President and Best Club by the District Governor.
 The club was awarded most of the prestigious awards amidst huge applause from the audience. The club received several awards including Best Club President, Best Club Secretary, Rotarian of the year, Outstanding AG, Covid Trailblazer, Outstanding Chairperson to name a few.
Rotary International is a global organization with more than 46 thousand clubs and more than 1.4 million members in different countries of the world.
The contribution of Rotary in eradicating polio from the world is significant and it is well known to all. Rotary emerged as one of the largest organizations to fight against COVID. It not only raised huge funds to provide relief to the underprivileged but also worked fearlessly at the grassroots level.
Rotary Division District 3250, which includes Jharkhand and Bihar, has more than 110 clubs and over 4400 members. Rotary works in the areas of literacy, water and sanitation, health, maternal and child health, peace, community economic development, environment.

It is known that at the beginning of the session, President Anjani Nidhi, First Lady Rotary Spouse Banashree Nidhi along with CEO of GrowTree.com and Bikrant Tiwari had prepared outline of massive plantation, which was done by Dr Amit for Rural Plantation.
Rotarian Kamalendu Shukla, under the initiative and original supervision of the club secretary, Rotarian Alpana Shukla, with crowdfunding and courtesy of Tata Blue Scope, a dilapidated East Bengal school has been revived, which is an example. Rotarian Naveen Francis, under his special supervision, gave a new look to the new construction of the entire school building, premises and toilets.
Medical camps were organized in remote villages under the leadership of Rotarian Dr. KM Gandhi, Dr. Sunetra Gandhi and Varsha Gandhi. Girls were given expensive vaccinations to avoid cervical cancer.
