Jamshedpur, Jan 27: Health Minister Banna Gupta commended the contributions and sacrifices made by corona warriors during the pandemic and felicitated them at the 72nd Republic Day function organised at Gopal Maidan.
On this occasion, the Minister gave commendation letters to the officials and employees of the district administration, health department, who did excellent work during the corona period. At the same time attractive tableaux were taken out by eight departments.
Tableau of Drinking Water and Sanitation Department stood first, Civil Defence received second place and District Transport Department tableau got third place. In the parade, NCC stood first place, women force of district police got second place and Home Guard force got third place. At the same time, BDO Bodam / Dhalbhumgarh and Golmuri cum Jugsalai, were felicitated for implementation of MNREGA schemes with citation, and the police officers and personnel played key roles in maintaining law and order were also recognised.
Gupta expressed his respect for the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and said that the Nation will never forget their sacrifices because the history of freedom is not written in simple ink but with the blood of freedom fighters. “It is time to reaffirm our commitment towards the largest democracy and we are doing our best to ensure better development of the country by facing the existing challenges. We are trying to ensure that even the last person in remote areas can benefit from government schemes,” said Gupta.
The Minister said that the Government formed under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren has been enthralled by the expectations and trust of many people. Every possible effort is being made by the government for progress.
“Despite the worldwide crisis, the government faced this challenge with high spirits. During the pandemic every person was provided every possible help. Even the last rites of the coronavirus victims were performed by government employees under skillful leadership of the venerable Hemant Soren. Every successful effort is being made to make the state prosperous and advanced. The government has tried to improve the economic condition of the migrant laborers by connecting them with new schemes,” said Gupta.
