Jamshedpur, August 5: The Jhulan and Sindhara festival of Kalka Mata of Kuldevi Shri Amarsar was organized at Bistupur Rajasthan Bhawan on Friday. The worship of the Mother was organized by Kalka Mata Parivar, Tatanagar. Popular Bhajan singer of Jamshedpur, Mahavir Agarwal Munna initiated the proceedings with Ganesh Vandana.
The worship of Kalka Mata commenced at 4 pm. Host couple Kusum and Ambika Nagelia performed the prayers under the supervision of Pandit Ramji Pareek who later tied the protective thread among the devotees present the prayers offered to Kalka Mata. Women devotees were dressed in Rajasthani attire.
Local Bhajan singers Mahavir Agarwal and Manju rendered the religious songs in a captivating manner leading the devotees to dance and sing along in ecstatic delight. The Bhajans continued till late in the night. Earlier, from 6:30 pm, Pooja Jha recited the Mangal Path.
Women devotees decorated the court of Kalka Ma and organized the Jhoola ceremony. Akhand Jyot and the 56 items (Chhappan Bhog) offered to the Mother was later distributed among the devotees present.
The organizing committee of Kalka Mata Parivar, Tatanagar included Kunj Bihari Nagelia, Satyanarayan Naredi, Vishwanath Naredi, Ghanshyam Agarwal, Uttam Naredi, Kishore Nagelia, Sushil, Rajesh Sharma, Nisha Nagelia, Ritu Nagelia, Vinita Naredi, Mamata Kedia, Krishna Kedia and Sanjana.
