Rally, poster making mark day 1 of communal harmony week

Jamshedpur, Dec. 15: Communal harmony week 2016 organised by the NSS wing of Karim City College began at the college premises on Thursday.

The event will continue till December 21. On the first day of the programme NSS head SK Anwar Ali presented the annual report and informed the students about the weeklong events and competition.

This was followed by song presentation by students of Spark Music club. Addressing the gathering, chief guest for the function Mukul Choudhari, head, Sports and TFA, Tata Steel said, for the all round development of students, education along with extracurricular activities are also needed and Karim City college has always provided the students with appropriate stage.

The first day of the week also saw around one thousand students take out a rally to make the people aware of communal harmony.

The rally was flagged off from the college premises which crossed through various places of the area before culminating at the college. A slogan writing competition was also organised at the college premises and the best slogans were displayed at the rally.

The event was anchored by Aman raj and Prachi Priyam while Amit extended the vote of thanks. Guest of honour for the occasion were Arvind Pandit NSS coordinator, Kolhan University and Dr. Md. Zakaria, Principal of the college.

Also present were Hassan Mallick, Md Reyaz, Aftab Alam Ansari, Indrasen Singh, Hassan Varsi, Syed Sajid Parwez and other professors of the college.
