Ranchi, March 31: Soon after taking charge as the chief secretary of Jharkhand on Thursday, Rajbala Verma held a meeting with principal secretaries/secretaries of different departments and directed them to monitor their respective departments on weekly basis and pay special attention to the schemes related to the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister.
She said that all the officers should focus at making the financial year 2016-17 better than 2015-16, which was a remarkable year from the point of view of achievements.
Verma said that the developmental work run by the Union and state governments should reach to the people in every field. The schemes should be designed according to the profile of different districts. Area-wise development is the demand of time.
She said that district-wise responsibility should be determined for composite development.

Singh, development commissioner Amit Khare, principal secretary (Forest and Environment Department) Sukhdeo Singh, principal secretary (Energy Department) S.K.G. Rahate, principal secretary (Health Department) K. Vidyasagar, principal secretary (UDD) Arun Kr. Singh, secretary (Drinking Water and Sanitation Department) A.P. Singh, secretary (Higher Education) and Ajay Kr. Singh as well as all principal secretaries/ secretaries of different departments were present in the meeting.
