Raghubar instructs DDCs to complete work on time

Ranchi, Sept 19: Chief Minister Raghubar Das today directed all the deputy commissioners of the state to ensure that the works being under the Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana and ODF in blocks and districts be completed on time and for that they should also take the cooperation of members of 20 point programme execution committee of the district and block levels.

Chairing a review meeting over the progress being made in execution of scheme under MLA scheme and that of Mukhymantri Vikas Yojana with the DDCs at the project building here, he said the deputy chairperson of 20 point execution committee of the district level be asked to ensure coordination in the work and suggested that help of members of Kamal Club and that of SHGs can also be taken.

The CM said officials needed to trust the people and they should be made part of the schemes to be executed at the block level and hold meetings with members of the Kamal Club and the SHGs also asked the officials to work with mission and vision. He said the officials have been given the responsibility of the districts therefore they should not waste their times over files.
The CM said the government would develop 15 villages of martyrs of the state under which pucca homes, drinking water through pipelines, power from solar energy, pucca roads and libraries would be constructed and the work be done before January 26. He asked the DDC to monitor the schemes and suggested them to adopt a village each in their districts and ensure their development.

Das said, among the 100 most backward districts of the state six are from Jharkhand and the government was committed to make them developed in the next two years. He said in the next budget, special focus would be accorded for the development of this districts for which cooperation was all needed.

He said, under Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana, construction of two lakh homes has to be constructed by November 15 and by 2018 the entire state would be made ODF. He said no lackadaisical approach would be tolerated to achieve these targets and asked the officials to give due respect to the elected representatives and said they should not do any wrong work under pressure. He said, they should politely refuse the work which can not be done and asked them to be in touch with the elected representatives of the area.

He said the state government was committed to remove corruption from the lower level and said any complaints regarding demand of commission would not be tolerated.
During the meeting, development commissioner Amit Khare apprised about the various works being done by the state government. Those present also included chief secretary Rajbala Verma, principal secretary to the Chief Minister Sanjay Kumar and other officials.
