Purulia-Jhargram MEMU train cancelled, Ispat Express delayed

Jamshedpur, May 29: The Purulia-Jhargram up and down MEMU train has been cancelled on Monday and Tuesday due to a blockage implemented by the Railways between Nimpura and Kalaikunda stations for two days. The passengers who were waiting at the station got disappointed.

The Railways’ blockage between Nimpura and Kalaikunda stations also affected other train services. The Santragachi-Anand Vihar weekly train, Howrah-Titlagarh Ispat Express, and Howrah-Barbil Janshatabdi Express were delayed on Monday, departing later than their scheduled times.

Theft in Kriya Yoga Express

In another incident, a passenger named Rajesh Kumar Sharma from Kolkata had his bag stolen aboard the Hatia-Howrah Kriya Yoga Express train. The incident occurred on Saturday near Ghatshila station. Rajesh Kumar Sharma’s trolley bag contained Rs 25,000 in cash, jewelry, and other valuable items. A complaint was lodged at Tatanagar Railway Station, and the case was subsequently referred to Ghatshila Railway Station by the Tatanagar Railway Police.
