Protest will continue till we get ownership rights: Munna Sharma


    Jamshedpur, Feb. 5: Jharkhand Saman Adhikar Manch (JSAM) has started its protest demanding ownership rights and would continue with the protest till the citizens of Jamshedpur get their rights.

    Residents in large number will visit Ranchi and would gherao the Jharkhand Assembly as and when the session starts, said convener of the manch, Yogendra Sharma cum Munna Sharma on Sunday and thanked the residents of the bustis to make the torch light procession successful.

    The manch took out a torch light procession from Baridih Durga Puja ground which traversed through Sidhgora, Agrico, Bhalubasa, Kasidih and concluded at Aam Bagan Maidan in Sakchi on Saturday, February 4.

    Heading the meet at Cable Town Club on Sunday, Munna Sharma said, the issue of ownership rights is directly associated with the chief minister Raghubar Das as the issue is pending for the last 22 years (since the year 1995). Raghubar Das who raised the issue over two decades back has become the chief minister from MLA but people have still not got their share. Seeing the issue getting bigger, the Jharkhand Assembly was suspended for indefinite period four days before the session ends.

    Present at the meeting were Chandrakant Dubey, Santosh, Balvinder Singh, Kanjul Lakda, Munna Bhatt, Goutam Ghosh, Jobarani Basken, Lal Babu Singh, Manoj Anand, Sanjay Singh Mintu, Sanjay Singh, Saroj Kumar, Prakash Jha, Bhagat Singh and others.
