Jamshedpur, Dec 22:The Annual Youth Festival was celebrated in the premises of Kerala Public School(KPS), Kadma with much pomp and show on Thursday, December 22. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Rotarian Gyan Taneja.
The devotional lamp was lit by the Chief Guest, Principal, Mrs. Sharmila Mukherjee, Vice- Principal, Mrs. Harmit Pal. The theme of the event was �Leadership- Time to Shine� and was based on the loving memory of APR Nair, Chairman KPS Trust.
The event commenced with a Prayer Song. A Welcome Song was put up by the students of Kerala Public School, Kadma. The day witnessed a number of On-Stage events like Group Dances, Group Songs both Eastern and Western, Quiz, Extempore, etc..as well as Off-Stage events like Collage, Rangoli, Hair Styling, Website Designing, Origami and so on.
Students participate in various events round the year which gets culminated in the Annual Youth Festival. 250 Children were awarded for their extraordinary performances in various events. The children represented their respective houses which are Valour, Wisdom, Peace and Prosperity.
The day came to a close with the Prize Distribution ceremony done by the Principal of the School.
The Winning team as well as the Runners Up were felicitated with Rolling Trophies.
The Overall Champions Trophy was bagged by Prosperity with 259 points and the Runners Up Team was Valour with 206 points.
The Vote of Thanks was extended by the Vice Principal, Mrs. Harmit Pal.
The teachers and students worked with great zeal and endeavour to make this programme a grand success.
