Jamshedpur, Sep 10: A blood donation camp was organized by Press Club of Jamshedpur at Red Cross Bhavan in Sakchi on Wednesday, September 10.
Total of 345 units of blood was collected during the camp. Earlier the camp was inaugurated by DC Dr. Amitabh Kaushal who on the occasion said, this is a great cause undertaken by the Press of Jamshedpur as one bottle of blood can help save life of three people.
At the event tributes were paid to late Jayprakash Sahu, who passed away earlier this year. Club has agreed to hold camp every year.
At the event logo of Press Club of Jamshedpur was also launched by DC, SSP Amol V Homkar, SP Karthik S., MP Vidhyut Varan Mahato, MLA Menka Sardar and others. All the editors of the dailies were felicitated at the event.
SSP on the occasion said, city is reeling under traffic issues and media has provided its full support to tackle it.
At the event DSP Virendra yadav, former BJP President Dineshanand Goswami, BJP leader Amarpreet Singh Kale, JVM leader Abhay Singh, Chamber president Suresh Sonthalia, social worker PN Das, Press Club of Jamshedpur�s President B Srinivas and others were present.
