Preparations in place for mass wedding, rituals start today

Jamshedpur, Dec. 4: Grand arrangements have been made for the mass wedding of fifteen underprivileged couples at Sidhgora Town Hall Ground on Tuesday, December 6. Social organization �Samadhan� is the main organiser of the mass wedding.

The organization made arrangements for 11 underprivileged couple in 2015. The social outfit will organise the community wedding for the second consecutive year at Sidhgora Town Hall grounds.

On Sunday, members of ‘Samadhan’ took stock of the situation at the venue and were quite satisfied with the preparations.

Ahead of the community wedding, Dinesh Kumar, chief patron of ‘Samadhan’ said, preparations are in place for the mass wedding and 15 couples will get married on December 6.

Arrangements for 15 pandits and mandaps have been made. He further said, barat will be welcomed at 7 pm followed by varmala were chief guest will be chief minister Raghubar Das along with Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto and other dignitaries will be present on the occasion.

Talking to the media, Poonam Vig, President of Samadhan said, the wedding functions will begin on Monday, December 5 where Ganesh pujan, haldi, mehendi and other rituals will be performed from 4 in the evening.

On the occasion Sangeet evening will also be held where state minister Amar Bouri, ADM, welfare officer will bless the girls.

She further said, this year the arrangements will be grander than previous year. 101 members of the organization are supporting the cause and have been earlier informed and given responsibility about the wedding programme, security, Puja materials, welcoming the barat, band, couples, cultural programme, food etc.

Present on the occasion were Kuljeet Sadana, Ankit Anand, Tanveer, Ruchita Chabra, Madhu Prasad, Sunita Sachdev, Anjali Singh and others. BJP district President and patron of �Samadhan�, Dinesh Kumar appealed all to support and make the mass wedding programme a grand success and said that members of Samadhan have been working for the last four months to make the event successful.

It may be noted that Social organization �Samadhan� organised first mass wedding in the year 2015 where 11 couples tied the knot and the number has been increased to 15 this year.
