Pratyusha’s parents meet State Women Commission chairperson, seek support

Jamshedpur, June 9: Parents of famous TV actress late Pratyusha Banerjee on Thursday met Jharkhand State Women Commission, chairperson Mahua Majhi and appealed for a CBI inquiry in the death of ‘Anandi’.

Her parents visited Ranchi and submitted a demand memorandum to the chairperson. They informed the whole sequence of events, saying there was a conspiracy behind the killing of Pratyusha. Shankar Banerjee, father of the late actress said, ‘Till date the things we have heard about her murder and the situation we have gone through it clearly seems that there is a planned conspiracy behind her murder.

Police has been misled and might be under pressure this is the reason we demand probe by CBI’.

Pratyusha’s mother, Soma Banerjee, said, we have described the whole incident in front of the state women
commission chairperson and we want that the truth should come out.

During the meet, Mahua Majhi, said, we will take necessary action in the case and will do whatever is possible so that Jharkhand’s daughter gets justice.

Significantly, a signature campaign was launched by parents of late TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee to garner support for a CBI probe into her unnatural death received good response as over 1000 people signed in favour of the demand on Wednesday.

Pratyusha Banerjee allegedly committed suicide on April 1 in Mumbai flat where she was in a live in relationship with her boyfriend Rahul Singh.
