Police nabs two in Surendra Singh murder case

Jamshedpur: Police have cracked the case of murder of bus agent Surendra Singh who was shot at his residence in Mango in the night of January 4.

The special team constituted in this regard has arrested Dipak Kumar, a resident of Teachers� Colony, Mango and Vikash Kumar Gupta, resident of Shiv Mandir Line, Olidih in this connection. Wife of the deceased Dharmashila Devi had filed a complaint in this regard.

The interrogations revealed that one Raja Sharma, a known criminal, had shot Surendra Singh along with his henchmen Dipak Kumar and Vikash Kumar Gupta. Sharma is still at large.

The accused have revealed that the son of the deceased Manoj had beaten up Deepak�s friend Shubham. In order to take revenge Dipak contacted Raja Sharma and sought his help. Sharma later in the evening barged on the door of Surendra Singh and summoned Manoj.

When Surendra Singh said that Monoj was not at home, Sharma and his men including Dipak and Vikash Kumar vandalized the house and in the process fired shots at Surendra Singh who later died.

A special investigating team including DSP Patamda, inspector, Pardih, OC, Mango, OC, Olidih and Ravindra Kumar of the Olidih PS was constituted and the team nabbed two of the accused.
