Police claim to crack murder mystery of jeweller

:The East Singhbhum district police have claimed to have cracked the sensational murder mystery of jeweller Santosh Kumar Verma and attack on Tata Steel employee Vipul Kumar.

Sources went on to inform that the police have made a head progress in both the cases and in next 48 hours will disclose the mysteries involved in the attacks.

The police have detained all the three persons, including the girl, who was reportedly Santosh Kumar’ girl-friend. The mutilated body of 27-year-old jeweller Santosh Kumar Verma, was found lying at a lone place known as Pakipani under Bodam police station area of Patamda. The body was later identified as that of the owner of Alankaar Jewellers of Mango.

According to the officer, Santosh had a relation with a 22-year-old girl who resided at Azadnagar in Mango and the last call had been made by the girl.

�While we were scanning the call history of the victim we traced the victim’s girl-friend’s number to be the last call received by him. Only after interrogating the girl, the police finally established the case and nabbed up the girl’s brother and brother-in-law for questioning,” said the officer.

According to the police officer, another assailant involved in the murder is yet to be nabbed.

“We have reached to a conclusion of both the cases. We will be in a position to formally disclosing the breakthrough in the Kumar shooting and the jeweller murder case in the next 48 hours. The two cases have been almost solved, but we have to make some more arrests in both cases,” said Amol Homkar, SSP, East Singhbhum.

According to sources, in the Kumar shooting incident, the police have sent a team to outside the city for detecting one of the shooters. Once the police succeed in arresting a suspected shooter, the case will be completely solved.

Forty-year-old Kumar was shot at and injured by two unidentified gunmen near the United Club in the posh Northern Town area in Bistupur on November 23. The victim who is a member of the United Club was about to board his car parked outside the club as the attack had taken place. A resident of Sonari, Kumar was attacked by two bike-borne criminals.
