Patriotic song competition on Sept. 23

Jamshedpur, Sept. 20: To instill a spirit of patriotism in students, Bharat Vikas Parishad Jamshedpur Mahanagar will organise patriotic song competition at Rajendra Vidyalaya auditorium on September 23.

The district level programme will see participation of 33 schools from in and around the city with 8-10 students of class 6 to 12 in each team, said PK Dutta, President of Bharat Vikas Parishad.

Addressing a press conference at Tulsi Bhawan on Tuesday, Dutta informed that each team will have to sing to songs (Hindi and Sanskrit) and they will be allotted seven minute for each.

‘We had started the preparation a month back and schools are provided books of the Bharat Vikas Parishad that is published in New Delhi’, said Manju Thakur, convener, Bharat Vikas Parishad.

She further said that top three schools will be awarded during the function but only team who finished first will participate in the state level competition to be held in Ranchi in October and further the winning team will head for the national level competition.

Brahmanand Prasad, secretary of the Parishad, said, the competition will be held in two sessions. In the first session Saryu Rai will be present as the chief guest along with Beli Bodhanwala and Ashok Bhalotia. At the concluding function MP Bidhut Baran Mahato, SDM Subodh Kumar and Prerna Classes director Pramod Dubey will be present.
