Jamshedpur: As a part of continuing medical education program, an update in Pathology is being organized by the Department of Pathology, Tata Main Hospital (TMH) and Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists (IAPM), Jamshedpur branch.
The two day Pathology Update was inaugurated today in TMH by Padmashree Dr Arvind Lal, Chairman and MD, Dr Lal�s Pathlab. The session was chaired by Dr G Ramdas, GM, TMH. Physicians and pathologists from Ranchi, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, including TMH were present on the occasion.
The topics chosen for the Update are of clinical relevance, keeping in view the advancements in various aspects of Pathology, said the programme coordinator.
Another distinguished participant of the programme is Dr Dipika Mohanty, Senior Consultant, Hematology and Chief of Lab Services, Apollo Hospitals, Bhubaneswar.
The topics to be covered during the programme include Hemoglobinopathies in Indian scenario & screening program, Modern trends in Pathology in the current scenario, Mesenchymal tumours of head and neck, Leukemia, diagnosis and prognosis and discussion on the topic �How far we have reached & Gray Zones in Lymphoma� and basics of FNAC & practical approach in Thyroid.
