Jamshedpur: State Congress president Dr Ajoy Kumar on Thursday appealed to party workers to begin the ground work for the 2019 elections. He said the workers were the backbone of the party. He said Congress was the only party that could ensure the welfare and development of poor people. He said the grand alliance of the non-BJP opposition parties would form the next government in the Centre and in Jharkhand.
Also present on the occasion, district Congress president Vijay Khan said the party workers should contact voters by launching a door-to-door campaign.
Many other party leaders were present on the occasion. They included Manoj Mahato, Kisan Lal Mahato, Purvi Dutta, Shyampad Mahato, Paritosh Singh, Laddu Pandey, Khagen Mahato, Sanay Ghosh and Sapan Karua.
