Jamshedpur : Students of Mrs KMPM Inter College, who are of fear of not appearing in the class XI annual examination conducted by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) today created uproar and vandalism.
They went to meet the principal to know that state of JAC affiliation and declaration of the intermediate exam.
However, when they were denied the answer they squatted on the road and damaged a car parked near the college.
They said that the students are forced to suffer as college it did not acquire a permanent affiliation from the council.
Mrs. KMPM Inter College, situated at Bistupur is run by the Jusco Education Mission (JEM) Foundation. However, inspite of the better quality of education, failing to seek a permanent affiliation from Jharkhand Academic Council has put these students future in dark. The college has a temporary affiliation till 2015.
Mrs. KMPM Inter College is not just one college but 55 other intermediate colleges in Jharkhand with 11000 students were affected due to the affiliation problem. Students in such colleges across the state today were denied to appear for the annual class XI examination.
“This is a pure case of cheating. They could have said it earlier if the college did not have affiliation. We demand justice and will fight for it,” said a student.
Last year, JAC had made the list of colleges public which did not have affiliation. Inspite of the fact, students approached and the college took admission. Without clearing the examination, students will not be able to seek promotion to class XII.
