Money transaction led to firing in Sakchi, two arrested

Jamshedpur, Nov  4: Police on Tuesday arrested Dashrath Shukla among two in firing incident that took place near Reliance Fresh Outlet under Sakchi Police Station jurisdiction on Monday. Police also seized pistol used during the crime scene, said Jamshedpur SSP M Tamil Vanan.

Addressing a press meet on Tuesday, SSP informed that the incident happened due to money transaction and police has cracked the matter within 24hrs.

Golmuri resident Rahul Chhabra had filed a complaint against Dashrath Shukla after the incident in Sakchi. Taking prompt action, SSP directed to look into the matter at the earliest. A team led by City SP Subhash Chandra Jat was formed and police started investigation into the same. After which police arrested Dashrath Shukla.

During interrogation,  Dashrath Shukla accepted the crime. Victim Golmuri resident Rahul Chhabra informed that police that he had taken Rs 2 lakh and gave cheque. Later Rahul returned the money to Dashrath but the later was returning the cheque he had given him. After which the matter escalated and Dashrath resorted to firing. According to police, after the firing incident Dashrath had given the pistol used in the incident to Rahul. Later police seized the pistol along with three bullets and arrested Rahul also.          

It is worth mentioning that on Monday evening when Kolhan DIG Rajeev Ranjan Singh was holding a meeting with senior police officials of the East Singhbhum district to make Jamshedpur crime free firing incident took place near Reliance Fresh Outlet under Sakchi Police Station jurisdiction.

According to sources, Dashrath Shukla is supporter of a political party and was also involved in assault case near Tilak Pushtakalay in Bistupur where he attacked a shop owner.
