MNPS students showcase talent at English elocution and choral recitation contest

Jamshedpur, September 7: The Annual English Elocution, Speech and Choral Recitation Contest was organized at Motilal Nehru Public School on Wednesday. The objective of this contest was to develop oratory skills amongst students.

The elocution saw glimpses of some good poetry, prose and speeches. In the Declamation contest the children were dressed up beautifully according to the personalities to get into the skin of the characters.

The winners in the Choral Recitation students of class 3 to 5 participated. Class 4 B was adjudged the winner, Class 5 A came second while class 5 C was third. In the Elocution (Primary)- Anushka Shah of class 4 B was first followed by Nava Perween of class 5 C and Tamkinat Jawed of class 5 B.

In Elocution Poetry (High School)-Anisha Sinha of class 7C came first, Harshita Dubey of class 6 B was second while Equra Samreen of class 6 C was third. In Elocution (Prose) (High School)-Sushmita Jha was first followed by Lisha Singh of class 9 and Ankita Shah of class 9 A. I Declamation -Badal Manocha of class 12 C, Nalini Kumari of class 12 A and Saniya Imtiyaz of class 12 C came first, second and third respectively.

The Judges panel comprised Sudeep Banerjee, Theatre artist, Nandini Shukla, Principal Kerala Samajam Model School, Radha Roy Biswas, Public Policy Researcher.

The judges expressed satisfaction at the selection of prose or poetry by students and their delivery.

The occasion was graced by the presence of the President Akhilesh Kumar Dubey, Hon. General Secretary, Dr. D.P Shukla, School Managing Committee and other dignitaries.
