MNAC gives 72 hour deadline to defaulters

Jamshedpur: Mango Notified Area Committee (MNAC) has given a 72 hour ultimatum to defaulters of water tax. At the end of the deadline, it would disconnect the water supply lines of all those who have not footed their water bills till date.
According to Rajendra Prasad Gupta, special officer of MNAC, a whopping sum of Rs 20 crore is due to be paid by the defaulters. The notices would be served to those who have to pay the water bills ranging from Rs 25,000 to Rs 3 lakh, he said.
The MNAC authorities have set up a four member team led by assistant engineer Roshan Ranjan. The team has prepared a list of 130 defaulters. Those who pay the bills would be able to enjoy water supply, said the officials.
