Mishap in Adhunik Power Jamshedpur, driver dies


Gamharia, Nov 20: A driver named Laxmi Shankar Tiwari (65) died in an accident when a truck hit him while he was tying a tarpaulin on a trailer in Birrajpur railway siding of Kandra-based Adhunik Power and Natural Resources Limited Company. 

The incident is said to have happened around 8 am on Saturday.

Shankar was seriously injured after being hit by the truck. He was taken to MGM Hospital by the management for treatment where he died. Relatives of the deceased said that they were informed about it a long time after the accident at around one o’clock in the afternoon. After the information, the relatives who reached the hospital demanded compensation from the management. During this, the family members also created a ruckus, accusing the company management of negligence.
 The deceased driver was a resident of Vidyapati Nagar in Baridih, Jamshedpur and was working as a driver in M ​​Kumar Transport Company. The owner of the transport company is Mahendra Yadav.
