Ma Paudi and Ma Akarshani to be worshipped in Adivasi tradition

Saraikela, Nov 23: The worship of Ma Akarshani, Ma Paudi, Ragda Pat, Sadeburu Pat and Krishna Sari Ma will be worshipped together on February 2, 2021in pure Adivasi tradition. A Kalash Yatra with 101 Kalash bearers will be taken out as a prelude to the puja on February 1. The recitation from scriptures and prayers will be performed by priestess Manjari Devi and priest Sohan Singh Sardar.

A meeting to chalk out the programme for the puja was organized in which villagers from various rural areas participated. The meeting was held to introduce the puja at Sadeburu Pat in Sidadih village under Kharsawan Block. The meeting was presided by Bitapur Panchayat Mukhiya Rani Hembram. A 12 point programme resolution was adopted that included election of the puja committee on December 6, meeting of the committee to be held every Sunday, invitation to officials of the district administration and other prominent citizens, adequate drinking water provisions and making proper paths for easy communication to and from the puja site. The paths will be constructed by villagers on voluntary service basis. Those present in the meeting included Mohitpur Panchayat Mukhiya Suryamani Hembram, Mangla Oraon, Rahindra Sardar, Dhaneshwar Rautia, Hira Sardar, Dipak Jamuda, Ladura Sardar, retired defense personnel Shankar Soy, Gram Pradhans of various villages and 70 other villagers.
