Jamshedpur, July 3: Deputy Commissioner East Singhbhum Vijaya Jadhav has put a stay order on the increased rent of the shops of Sairat Bazar.

Along with imposing the stay, the Deputy Commissioner has formed a committee. The above committee will prepare a report after reviewing the fares. After this, a decision will be taken on the increased rent.

The committee formed by the Deputy Commissioner would review the rent. It will include ADM, SDO Dhalbhum, Special Officer JNAC, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sakchi Bazar Committee and Chairman of Kadma Bazar Committee. The above committee will review the rent soon and submit the report. After the report comes, the Deputy Commissioner will take further decision.

It may be known that after the unexpected increase in the fare of Sairat, a delegation of shopkeepers of Sakchi, Golmuri, Kadma and Bistupur and officials of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce met Health Minister Banna Gupta. After listening to their problems, Minister Banna Gupta held talks with the Chief Minister, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister who is also secretary of Urban Development Department Vinay Kumar Choubey and Deputy Commissioner.

Minister Banna Gupta requested all the concerned officers to keep their stand flexible on the issue of fare of Sairat. He told the Deputy Commissioner that the business community is the backbone of the state’s economic system, they generate many types of revenue. Therefore, additional burden should not be put on them in the form of shop fare. Since the Deputy Commissioner has the right to hear the appeal, the Deputy Commissioner should review again and postpone the notice of rent till then.

The result was also positive and the Deputy Commissioner has given a stay order on the new rent of Sairat. On this initiative of Minister Banna Gupta, on Sunday, Sairati shopkeepers of Kadma and officials of Singhbhum Chamber met at the MLA office of Minister Banna Gupta. The business class felicitated the minister by garlanding flowers and giving him bouquets and expressed his gratitude to him in the matter at Sairat.

The minister said that this fight is still long, so it should not be politicised. The business class should talk directly to the government.
