Jamshedpur, May 22: One Tunu Mahato died while his friend Gurupado Mahato got critically burnt when lightning struck them near Janum Palasdih village under Nimdih block of Seraikela-Kharsawan on Sunday.
The injured was taken to MGM Hospital where his condition was reportedly critical, police said.
The incident occurred around 5 pm when the victims had taken shelter under a tree during storm and rain. They had gone to Kukdu village on a motorcycle. On their return, they were caught in the thundering rain.
