Jamshedpur, Jan. 20: Safari Royals and Little Flower School lifted the championship trophy in the team and school category respectively at the 69th Tata Motors Annual and 39th Inter School Athletics Meet 2016 held on January 18-20, 2016 at the Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium in Telco.
The runners-up were Prima Challengers in the Women�s category and Indigo Fighters in the Men�s category. 1004 athletes representing 7 teams from Tata Motors, its subsidiary and associate companies as well as 15 schools participated in 112 events during the three-day sporting fest.
Sanjeev Tomar of Indigo Fighters was adjudged the Best Athlete in the Men�s category, while Ms Marry Goretti of Prima Challengers emerged as the Best Athlete in the Women�s category.
In the inter-corporate category of events, the tug-of-war competition was won by Tata Motors, while TML Drivelines was the Runnesr-up. In the 4 x 100 meter relay for corporate houses, the quartet from Tata Steel gave a power-packed performance to finish ahead of Tata Motors.
A B Lall, Head, Tata Motors Jamshedpur Plant, was the chief guest on the occasion. Sumant Sinha, GM, ER, W & CSR, Manas K Mishra, GM, Program Management, Amlesh Kumar, president, Telco Workers� Union, along with other senior executives and union members graced the occasion and felicitated the winning teams and athletes.
