Jamshedpur: Kerala Public School (KPS), Kadma has won the prestigious International School Award for the session 2018-21.The International School award is a British Council accreditation scheme awarding the schools with an outstanding level of support for – Nurturing Global citizenship in young people, enriching teaching and learning process.
The school worked very hard under the able leadership, guidance and motivation of the Kerala Public School Director, Sharat Chandran, Principal Sharmila Mukherjee, Headmistress K.Jaishree and the ISA Coordinator Guneet Kaur.
After winning the award, Principal Sharmila Mukherjee, said, ‘The ISA journey was initiated by a team of teachers after identifying various projects involving Primary, Middle, High School and Plus two segments of the students.
The school worked on seven Projects that made students become sensitized towards the environment and different sections of the society. It gave a new dimension to teaching learning process through various International collaborative exchanges and ideas’.
She further informed that the ISA Project gave the school and the students a unique opportunity to build International collaborations with the countries – Srilanka, Zambia, Taiwan and Afghanistan. Using the digital technology the students of KPS Kadma and the students of the above mentioned countries exchanged the ideas in implementing various projects which has been an enriching experience to the students that has made an everlasting impression.
The school will continue to have alliances with the International Collaboration schools in the future too for exchange of more ideas that will instill and enhance the creativity, knowledge and oneness amongst students.
