Jamshedpur, Nov 23: Nine students of Kashi Sahu College, Seraikela, sat on fast unto death on the second consecutive day of their agitation demanding commencement of M.Sc course in the college.
Sources said the condition of the students had worsened due to the cold weather. Notwithstanding their poor health, the students decided to continue the agitation.
Yesterday, the college Principal Dr Saroj Kaivart had reached the agitation site and assured the students of taking measures to fulfill their demand. But the students were not convinced by the oral assurance. They were adamant on seeking written assurance from any representative of Kolhan University or the district administration. They said the agitation would continue indefinitely till their demand was fulfilled.
