Jamshedpur : Following protest, Jusco has announced that he Jubilee Park gates will remain open for between 5 am and 7 am for morning walkers. A section of morning walkers had staged protest against the complete closure of Jubilee Park yesterday.
Jusco, which looks after the park decided to keep the park open early in the morning for two hours between 5 am and 7 am. This would continue till March 6. A complete restriction would be imposed for three days– Mar 3, 4 and 5 during the illumination period of Founder’s Day.
Minister of food and civil supplies, Jharkhand Saryu Roy and members of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) had come in support of the morning walkers and had met Jusco managing director Ashish Mathurover the issue.
A gift to the citizens of Jamshedpur by Tata Steel on the occasion of its golden jubilee in 1958, the 237.75- acre jubilee perk, modelled after Brindavan Gardens in Mysore, is considered the green heart of the city.
Jubilee Park, one of the oldest and famous landmarks of Jamshedpur, had recently also restricted entry of vehicles in view of times rising cases of accidents due to rash driving, especially in late evening, and movement of anti-social elements. As per the decisions taken there is no vehicle movement inside the iconic Jubilee Park on Sundays for convenience of visitors inside the park.
Moreover, both the entry/ exit gates of the park remain closed by 8.00 pm (Monday to Saturday) and no vehicular/ public movement will be allowed 8.00 pm onwards inside the park. No vehicles isallowed on the road passing through JN Tata Statue – Mughal Gardens – Children Park � Nicco Amusement Park at any time.
