Jamshedpur, June 17: The first match of the JSA League was postponed due to unprecedented rain on Friday, June 17 and will be rescheduled to a later date.
The first match of the Super Division was scheduled to be played between Jharkhand Sporting Club and Dobo Sangram Sangah at Gopal Maidan on Friday.
However, JSA League opening ceremony was conducted on Friday evening. Farzan Heerjee, Working President, JSA motivated the players with his powerful words.
Chairman of JSA football sub-committee, Mukul Choudhari, Vice President Ashish Kumar was also present.
Match officials and JSA Committee members were in attendance as the event marked a return for football in Jamshedpur.
The league will see 44 teams plying their trade divided into 3 divisions. The topmost tier – The JSA League Premier Division – will see 9 teams fighting for the topmost honour.
The Super Division (2nd tier) will have 11 teams and the ‘A’ Division (3rd tier) will have 24 teams.
Opening match of A Division will be played between Jadugoda Youth Club and Sarna.Com Football Club on 20th June 2022 at Armoury Ground. The match will kick-off at 4PM.
Tata Steel will take on Sporting Club Jamshedpur in the opening match of Premier Division scheduled to be played on 22nd June 2022 at JRD Tata Sports Complex. The match will kick-off at 03:00PM.
