Jamshedpur: The Annual Sports Day of the Primary Block of Jamshedpur Public School (JPS) was held on 16th December at the High School premises. Ahsan Khalid, Manager, Sports (Tata Steel) graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
The annual sports meet was declared open by the Chairperson Srimanti Sen. The drill display by the students of Std III & IV ‘The Whistling Train’ was spectacular and the drill display by the students of Std I & II ‘Johar Rhapsody’ was vibrant and colourful. The students of nursery to class 4 took part in various events and their parents too enjoyed a wonderful day in school.
The winners of various events were- In Rythm of Shapes for Nursery- Kanishq and Janvi; Pankaj and Arnav. In Eat Healthy contest for KG- Kushal Ray and Shrabani; Harshdeep and Anushka; Arnav and Kartika were the winners. In 50m Flat race for Boys- Nishant Baghel of class 4 D won the title.
In 50m Flat Race for girls- Anushka Prakash of class 4C bagged the winner’s trophy. In Swachh Bharat Race Yash Raj Mahato and Akansha Giri of class 1 bagged the title.
The parents too enthusiastically participated in a number of fun events. The Annual Sports day of the High School (V-XII) will be held on 23rd December, 2017.
