Joint secy health inspects Saraikela Sadar Hospital

Seraikela, Feb 24: State health department joint secretary and additional mission director Bidyanand Sharma Pankaj on Wednesday inspected the Seraikela Sadar Hospital and saw the activity of all departments. 
The joint secretary directed the Seraikela-Kharsawan civil surgeon Dr Himanshu Bhusan Barwar to plug the loopholes wherever necessary. 
Later, he told media, that throughout the state there is shortage of infrastructure and manpower and the government is trying to address these two issues. The problems are similar in Seraikela Sadar Hospital and due to lack of surgeons in various department proper treatment cannot be held in the hospital and soon the government is going to address these issues of manpower shortage. 
The joint secretary interacted with patients at the OPD and sought information on the food served to them after learning from a pregnant woman that she had not been served foods at the OPD the joint secretary directed the civil surgeon to ask the CDPO to ensure food diets reach the woman. 
He visited the dental and medicine unit, emergency unit and also sought information about availability of medicines for dog bite and snake bites cases. He also went around Covid-19 centre, ophthalmology unit, blood bank and post mortem facility.
