CM reviews govt schemes execution at Garhwa, Palamau

Ranchi, December 9: Chief Minister Hemant Soren reviewed the execution of government schemes with senior officials  Palamau and Garhwa at Palamau as part of Khatiyani Johar Yatra and asked the officials to work in a manner so that benefits reaches last mile.

“If the villagers come to you, then you should meet them with full affection and sensitivity and solve their problems,” said Soren while reviewing the development works and schemes in Garhwa and Palamu districts at Palamu Police Line Stadium today.

The Chief Minister said that this is the beginning, the progress of Palamu and Garhwa districts will be reviewed again after the next two months.

The Chief Minister reviewed Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana, Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme, Chief Minister Livestock Development Scheme, Sarvajan Pension Yojana, Kisan Credit Card, creation of human days under MNREGA, pre-matric scholarship, revenue court, online mutation and legal arrangements in both the districts.

The Chief Minister said that in some blocks, expected development has not taken place under various schemes of the government. The schemes have not reached the people either to make them aware or due to some other reason, the officials should work to remove all those errors by December 31.

The Chief Minister said that under the Chief Minister’s Drought Relief Scheme, the officials should also make arrangements for online registration in block offices for the registration of farmers so that more and more farmers can get its benefit. He directed to seek clarification from block development officers of blocks with low progress of Chief Minister Drought Relief Scheme, MNREGA and other schemes.

The Chief Minister said that livestock is the biggest link in the rural system and this system has to be re-established, so that the problems of anemia in women, malnutrition in children etc. can be diagnosed. They can get nutritious food at home. The Chief Minister said that people in rural areas should be given the benefit of livestock schemes. He said that under the Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Yojana, apart from giving animals on subsidy to the beneficiaries, funds are also being given for the construction of sheds.

He also asked police not to harass animal keepers on charges of animal trafficking charges and raids should be conducted keeping into confidence animal husbandry officer.

The Chief Minister expressed his displeasure over the functioning of the police stations in the urban areas and instructed them to bring improvements in the coming 15 days and directed the Superintendent of Police to review it.
