Jharkhand Sparkles at Vibrant Gujarat Summit

Ranchi, Jan. 12: Taking a cue from the success of Vibrant Gujarat, the Jharkhand Government left no stone unturned to woo businesses from across the globe to invest in Jharkhand at Vibrant Gujarat Summit in Gandhinagar.

A delegation from Government of Jharkhand led by Saryu Rai, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Food, Public Distribution & Consumer Affairs, Sanjay Seth, Chairman Jharkhand State Khadi Board and a team of senior officials including RK Srivastava Secretary department of Energy, Ajay Kumar Singh Secretary Department of Higher and Technical Education, Sunil Kumar Barnwal Secretary Department of Industry Mines and Geology, Rahul Sharma Secretary Department of Tourism Art Culture and Youth Affairs and K Ravi Kumar Director Industries participated in the vibrant Gujarat Summit.

The welcome remark was given by Devyanshu Gandhi, MD Vadilal followed by state presentation from Sunil Barnwal, Secretary Industries. Barwal highlighted the strengths of Jharkhand in terms of resourceful geography, skilled human resources, robust policies and visionary leadership that make Jharkhand as one of the most progressive state from the investment stand point.

Rai addressed the august gathering and explained the changes that have been brought about in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Raghubar Das.

He mentioned that the state is on the cusp of transformation and would be a major force to reckon with in the coming years in terms of both economic prowess and social justice. He also briefed the beaming audience about the ready investible project opportunities in Jharkhand across various sectors. Chairman Khadi board, Sanjay Seth highlighted the opportunities in silk and textile sector in Jharkhand.

Post the State session the delegation interacted with prospective investors during the business to government session and met with over 20 participants across various sectors ranging from Infrastructure, Technology, textile, agriculture and energy. The delegation received multiple proposals from them and all of them received warm invitation to attend the Momentum Jharkhand GIS 2017 by the delegation.

The delegation also visited state�s exhibition hall and interacted with visitors to understand their expectation from the GoJ and apprise them about the opportunities in Jharkhand for investors.
