Jharkhand Rail police alert for Bengal polls


Jamshedpur, Mar 12: Jharkhand Railway police is alert in view of the ensuing assembly polls in West Bengal and intensified checking to prevent carrying of arms and ammunition meant for Bengal through the train passing through Jharkhand. 
On Friday railway DIG, Jharkhand, S. K Sinha reached Tatanagar GRP post for inspection  and informed media that they were determined to ensure that assembly polls are held in neighbouring state of Bengal peacefully and would not let trains be allowed to carry arms and ammunition to disturb polls in Bengal.
DIG Sinha also held a crime meeting to review preparedness for checking and inspection of the trains passing through Jharkhand and going towards Bengal. 
DIG also reviewed how many cases were pending in various rail police stations of Jharkhand and sought to know from investigation officer about reason for delay in probe.
