Jamshedpur, Feb 22: State election commissioner, Jharkhand Election Commission, D. K Tiwari today reviewed the preparation for the three-tier panchayat election 2021 at the Jamshedpur Circuit House in presence of district election officer cum deputy commissioner Suraj Kumar and other senior officials.
The election commissioner said that similar meeting are being held in different districts to take their feedbacks on the panchayat polls which is aimed at enshrining democrating rights to the village people at the grassroot level. It was discussed on how to conduct the polling process in view of the Covid 19 pandemic at the earliest. Addressing media, D. K Tiiwari said that preparation for the polls are at a nascent stage and there will be several rounds of preparation to decide area demarcation, reservation for various groups, etc.
The senior IAS also said that the government is determined to conduct the panchayat polls at the earliest and commended the East Singhbhum district administration which has experienced officials who have conducted peaceful polls earlier too.
