Jharkhand has all the potential for expansion of industry: CM Hemant Soren


14th India International Mega Trade Fair concludes

Ranchi. Along with the entrepreneurs of the country, entrepreneurs from abroad have also got an opportunity to participate in the India International Mega Trade Fair this year, said Chief Minister Hemant Soren while addressing the closing ceremony of “14th India International Mega Trade Fair” organized under the aegis of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and GS Marketing at Morhabadi Maidan on Monday. Present on the occasion as chief guest, CM assured that the state government will support Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce in every possible way to increase industrial investment in the state. Soren said that joint efforts will be made to give it a better direction in the state. He expressed concern on the fact that the place where Jharkhand should have stood in the field of industrialization is not visible today in spite of a journey of hundreds of years. However, the present government is continuously taking steps for industrial investment in the state.

The Chief Minister further added that Jharkhand has all the capabilities to promote industry, yet Jharkhand is included in the category of backward states in the country, whereas there are many states in the country which do not have that many resources, but today they are among the leading states.

Excellent industrial policy formulated

The Chief Minister said that our government has done the work of formulating an excellent industrial policy. Several big and small corporate houses have expressed their desire to invest here. Recently, a large corporate has laid the foundation stone for setting up an industrial unit in Jamshedpur. The Chief Minister said that his government wants the MSME industry to be promoted in the state. The present government is working to give 25 percent subsidy to promote industrial units. The Chief Minister also expressed that if Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce has any good plan for the betterment of the industry, then the present government will consider increasing the subsidy to 35 to 40 percent.

Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Majhi said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, several ambitious schemes have been brought to promote industrialization in the state. The state government thinks that every class and community should get the benefit of the schemes of the government. She said that she has full faith that in the coming times, the state government and the Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce will work with commitment for the development of the state by making excellent coordination.

On the occasion, a portrait of the CM was presented to him. Several dignitaries including the Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce President Kishor Mantri and a large number of entrepreneurs were present.
