Jamshedpur, March 13: Jharkhand team was crowned the winner of Women’s Yoga League organized by Yogasana Sports Association of Jharkhand in Ranchi (Sujata Chowk, Rotary Club Auditorium).
More than 250 women yoga participants from Jharkhand, Odisha and Chhattisgarh participated.
The league was divided in two categories- Artistic Yogasana and Traditional Yogasana.
Chief Guest for the occasion Dr Madhulika Verma, Director of Yoga Department, Ranchi University inaugurated the competition.
Ranchi MLA CP Singh was present as the chief guest during the prize distribution ceremony. He awarded the winners.
Jharkhand was declared the winner and Odisha was runner-up in the competition.
On the occasion, Chief Patron of Jharkhand State Yogasana Sports Association Chhavi Virmani, President Sanjay Singh, Secretary Vipin Pandey, Treasurer Manoj Tiwari, Sudha Jha, Santoshi Kumari (Competition Director), Malay Dey, Swami Dev and Prahlad Bhagat were also present. This was informed by Anshu Sarkar, Senior Vice President of Yogasana Sports Association of Jharkhand.
